Shooting Touch encourages individuals and corporate groups to visit Rwanda and experience first hand how impactful a sport-for-development organization can be. Each year, we accept a variety of individual and corporate groups different (during the months listed below) to travel to Rwanda. For more information regarding these opportunities, please continue reading below.

1. On Court with Shooting Touch

a. Basketball Practice (1hr.)

b. Higher Education Lesson (30min.)

2. Day In The Life of a Shooting Touch Participant

a. Home Tour (10min.)

b. Question & Answer with Participant, Translator Included (20min.)

c. Participate in Home Chores, ex: Cultivating, Milking Cow, Cooking, Fetching Water (30min.)

3. Special Activity with Shooting Touch

a. Building and/or Painting a Basketball Court

b. Helping a Family in Need, ex: Hanging Bed Nets, Rebuilding Home, Creating Garden

c. Community Health Testing Day

d. Organization-Wide Basketball Tournament

e. Host a Training Session for Shooting Touch Staff, ex: Leadership, Basketball, Working with Children, Health Education

f. East African Lunch with Rwandan Traditional Dancers

4. Other In-Country Activities**

a. Visit the Genocide Memorial Museum

b. Gorilla Trek in The Virunga National Park

c. Safari/Game Drive Through Akagera National Park

d. Hike Through Nyungwe Rainforest

e. Hike a Volcano in The Virunga Mountain Range

g. Visit Kigali’s Famous Craft/Food Market

**Shooting Touch will assist in the logistics of scheduling these activities, but the group will be responsible for any applicable costs associated with the activity.

Donation Requirements

Shooting Touch asks that all individuals and corporate groups who wish to visit our program in Rwanda, help support the work that we are doing through a donation. The final donation amount can be open for discussion after the application has been submitted. A few examples of previous donations made to Shooting Touch:

2019: $250,000 Edgerly Foundation

2018: $180,000 Farley Urmston and Family

2017: $50,000 Mike Novograts and Family
