ABOUT KOJO DADZIE

Kojo holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from SUNY Albany and an MPA in Public & Nonprofit Management & Policy from NYU. With a diverse background in marketing, college advising, and community engagement, he has developed successful social media strategies, led large-scale events such as college career fairs, and gained experience managing teams and fostering partnerships. Kojo has a strong commitment to social impact and the sport of basketball, and is excited to bring his skills to support Shooting Touch Rwanda.

I am excited to share with you that I will be joining Shooting Touch, an international sport-for-development nonprofit, as part of their Rwanda Fellowship Program! With programs in Boston, MA and Rwanda, East Africa, Shooting Touch uses the mobilizing power of basketball to educate and inspire youth, women, and their communities to live healthier lives. In Rwanda, Shooting Touch serves over 1,000 youth, ages 7-21, and 2,000 women 21+ in six rural communities in the country’s Eastern Province.

As a Fellow, I will be living and serving in rural Shooting Touch communities. I will work to coordinate daily programming, support on-ground staff, and increase the reach of Rwanda’s largest, free youth basketball program for girls, boys, and women. Alongside their team of local coaches, I will also help deliver Shooting Touch’s custom designed on/off-court health-education curriculum, organize health and gender equity awareness events, and much more.

I am reaching out today in hopes that you will kindly support my on-ground work in Rwanda. Every Fellow embarking on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity is required to raise a minimum of $4,000 to support the amazing communities we serve with resources such as health care coverage, disease testing, health education, and daily basketball programming.
